How we count minutes and what happens when they run out
Per-second minute billing in Napisy AI, the monthly pool, top-ups that never expire and team minutes. What to do when the plugin says “Potrzeba X min” (X min needed).

To the second
We count minutes from the length of the transcribed audio, to the second – 30 seconds is 0.5 minutes, not a whole minute. That is why it pays to transcribe only the part you need (In–Out).
These do not use minutes: style and text changes in the Edit module, syncing with the editor and re-inserting captions.
Soundbites, hook and Viral Radar
The AI tools use the same minute pool as captions, based on the amount of material: the soundbite analysis by recording length (a 5-minute talk uses less than a 90-minute podcast), Viral Radar by the number of analysed videos. Current rates are shown in the pricing next to each plan and above the analysis button. Reopening a finished result uses no minutes.
Monthly pool and top-ups
Your plan gives you a pool of minutes per month. When it runs out, you do not have to wait for the renewal – buy a top-up in Dashboard → Subscription → Buy minutes. Top-up minutes never expire and are used only after the monthly pool is gone.
The plugin says “Potrzeba X min, zostało Y” (X min needed, Y left)
The recording is longer than the minutes you have left. You can buy more minutes (link in the message), move to a bigger plan, or transcribe a shorter part (In–Out).
Team minutes
On team plans minutes are shared. The head admin can give a person an allowance from the pool. When the plugin says your allowance has run out, ask your team’s head admin for more minutes.
