TikTok, Reels and Shorts safe zones and profanity auto-censorship

How the Napisy AI plugin keeps captions clear of the description and buttons of TikTok, Reels and Shorts, and how it hides profanity with asterisks and a bleep on the timeline.

Both features are on the Napisy (Captions) screen of the plugin, in the Rolki (Reels) card (the Zmień – Change – button). They work when generating new captions, when re-inserting animations from history and for reels from the Soundbites module.

Safe zones

On TikTok, Reels and Shorts, the bottom of the screen is covered by the description with the account name, and the right edge by the column of buttons (like, comments, share). A caption there is unreadable. Choose the platform: TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts or all three (the safest choice when you publish everywhere).

  • Podnieś napisy, jeśli wchodzą pod opis i przyciski (Raise captions if they go under the description and buttons) – when inserting, the plugin checks where the style places captions and, if needed, raises them just above the bottom bar. The “done” screen tells you by how many pixels.
  • Pokaż strefy na osi (Show zones on the timeline) – a semi-transparent overlay on the top track: red areas are under the interface, the yellow line is the zone boundary. It is only a preview: remove the overlay before exporting (same button).
  • The Edit module – after you select captions, the plugin shows whether any of them goes under the interface. The Przenieś do strefy bezpiecznej (Move into the safe zone) button raises it and, when a line is too wide and touches the buttons, slightly reduces the text size.

Zone boundaries are approximate: platforms change their interface from time to time, so we leave a small margin.

Profanity auto-censorship

Tick Autocenzura wulgaryzmów (Profanity auto-censorship). The plugin hides Polish profanity in the captions – as k***a, k**** or asterisks only. The list recognises Polish inflection and derived words, and leaves out mild words such as “kurde” and “cholera”.

  • Bleep on the timeline – under each swear word the plugin places a short beep on a free audio track, exactly for the length of the word. It downloads the sound from our server (once, then it stays on disk). There are three tones to choose from; the ▶ button plays a sample.
  • Mute speech under the bleep – on the speech tracks the plugin adds volume keyframes so the word cannot be heard under the beep. Music stays unchanged.
  • Extra words – enter words you want to hide, separated by commas (e.g. a competitor’s name). A word catches every word that starts with it.

The SRT file saved in the project also has the profanity hidden. The original text stays in the online editor. Importing again does not duplicate bleeps.

Frequently asked questions

Will the zone overlay end up in my export?

Yes, if you do not remove it – it is a normal clip on the timeline. That is why its name starts with “STREFY … – usuń przed eksportem” (remove before export). Remove it with the same button in the plugin or by hand.

Can I use the bleep commercially?

Yes. It is a pure tone we generated ourselves, not a recording from a sound library – you can use it in client work and in ads.

Will mild words like “kurde” or “cholera” be bleeped too?

No. The built-in list covers profanity only. You can add milder words yourself in the “Dodatkowe słowa do ukrycia” (Extra words to hide) field.

My video is horizontal 16:9 – what about the zones?

Safe zones apply to vertical 9:16 reels. In a horizontal sequence the plugin does not apply them; auto-censorship works as usual.
