Open a sequence in Premiere and the Napisy AI panel (the Napisy module in the bar at the top of the panel). The plugin interface is in Polish – we give the English meaning next to each label.

Krok 1: Choose the source

  • Sekwencja (Sequence) – the whole active sequence.
  • In–Out – only the part between the In and Out points on the timeline. The cheapest option when you are fixing part of a video.
  • Klip (Clip) – the selected clip.
  • Plik (File) – an audio or video file from disk, without a sequence.

Krok 2: Tick the speech tracks

Tick only the tracks that carry voice (e.g. A1 with the microphone). Music and effects on other tracks will not end up in the captions. More in Choosing audio tracks.

Krok 3: Choose the look

  • Animowane (Animated) – captions as motion graphics animated word by word, in a style from the Library. See Animated caption styles.
  • Zwykłe (Plain) – a classic Premiere caption track (SRT); you set the style in Essential Graphics.

Krok 4: Click “Generuj napisy” (Generate captions)

Under the button you can see how many minutes the recording will use and how many will be left. The plugin exports only the audio, sends it for transcription and a few moments later places the captions on the timeline (the Wstaw na oś czasu po zakończeniu – “Insert on the timeline when done” – option). The SRT file also goes into the Napisy AI bin in your project.

You can keep editing in the meantime. If you close Premiere halfway, the plugin will offer to finish the job when you open it again.
